About Me

My photo
Greenville, North Carolina, United States
Hello, My name is Tracey. I am a wife, sister, daughter, and mother of three. I have taken photos of my children and family members for years. My love for photography became a passion when I received my first 35mm SLR from my wonderful husband for my 1st Mothers Day. Nothing captures a moment in time like a photograph. It is my desire to capture images that reflect life's moments as you remember it.

Thomas

Thomas
Thomas is our first born son. He loves to swim, ride bikes, skate board, and body board. He loves to read and does well in school. He was named after my Dad. He is known as "The Ladies Man" at school. Chicks dig him!

Show and Tell

Friday is show and tell day at school. Tyler's choice today was a new toy car he got from a Happy Meal from McDonalds. It has a little light on it so he thought it was really cool. Thomas' choice was his bracelet he got in his goody bag from the Buddy Walk. The bracelet is stamped with the words Buddy Walk Down Syndrome Awareness. I asked him what he was going to say about his bracelet. He told me where he got it from. I then asked him what the Buddy Walk was for. He told me it was where kids got to play games and some of them had Down Syndrome. I asked him what Down Syndrome was. He then proceeded to tell me that it meant that it takes a little longer for kids with Down Syndrome to learn some things. Then he said "Well, it means that they get to play longer before they have to be a grown-up." And he is kind of right! I just thought that was too cute....

It is never too early to educate your children about special needs of all kinds....

I just love those little conversations with our kids. It makes me know we are doing something right. Keep it up Tracey. They are great boys.

This is Joyce. What a sweet and touching conversation. Thru the eyes and ears of babes, we could all learn a thing or two. Show- and-Tell, how I remember those days. So fun.

He's one of the smartest kids I've heard about in a long time! I bet the "mommy pride" was glowing big time after that comment.

oops forgot to answer the question you asked me on my blog... We usually don't take her to Home Depot when we go (she stays home with her older brother or at school) or we just have never needed to look at them when she is with us. I would imagine we would get the same response as we do at home.
