About Me

My photo
Greenville, North Carolina, United States
Hello, My name is Tracey. I am a wife, sister, daughter, and mother of three. I have taken photos of my children and family members for years. My love for photography became a passion when I received my first 35mm SLR from my wonderful husband for my 1st Mothers Day. Nothing captures a moment in time like a photograph. It is my desire to capture images that reflect life's moments as you remember it.

My little Sister

My little sister is getting married May 9th of 09. I can not believe she is old enough to get married... I remember when she was born. I was 10 years old and remember it vividly. It is so hard to believe that she is all grown up now. She has almost finished college - I am so, so proud of her. She is the first member of my family to graduate from college. I hopefully will be the second (one day...) Anyway, she is going to marry a pretty special man. He is a great guy! She and I (along with my mother) went to look for wedding gowns last Saturday. I think she may have found her dress. She was absolutely breath taking. I was holding back the tears. I know I am going to be bawling my eyes out when the actual event takes place. I can't imagine how beautiful she will be on her wedding day! She asked me to serve as her Matron of Honor. I have to say I am thrilled to be standing next to her. I am honored to have such a great little sister! I am surfing the net trying to help her find the perfect location (while being as "gentle" as I can be on my Dad's wallet). I hope I can help her find the perfect place. I will be heading down to the beach this week-end. I am going to try and find some information for her while I am there. (She is going to get married on a beach -somewhere:0)) So wish me luck!
And thank-you Stevie for being such a great Sister and a great Friend!

Tadholes

The other day, we were driving down the road and Tanner was looking through his Montessori bag. He was fumbling through his works and found a coloring sheet that was showing the different stages of how tadpoles turn into frogs. Here is how the conversation went.....

"Look Mommy, first the tadhole is a fish, then the tadhole grows some arms, then the tadhole grows some legs, and then the tadhole is a frog!" He was so proud of himself! Frank and I were in the front seat about to die laughing.... We didn't have the heart to tell him that it was a tadpole. That is one conversation I don't think I will ever forget!

Here is a picture from Ladies Night. We always have such a great time!

MOB's

Mothers of Boys....

I found this new message board/website based on nothing but mothers of boys! I am excited about meeting some "new friends" who can totally relate to what I am going through sometimes.... Being the only female in the house can be tough! Thank the Good Lord I have best friend Kim whom I can call anytime to just vent. It will be neat read about other MOB's experiences. I am sure I will be able to relate..... Here is the link MOB

It has been a week since I have had the chance to post. So here is the run down of events that have taken place over the last week....
The family had a cook out with our dearest friends this past week-end. We had a GREAT time. Kim's in laws were in town. I just love those folks! They are a part of our "extended" family. I swear we have the largest family known to man. We are so blessed to have such a tight knit circle of friends... I will post some pictures later, I haven't had time to get them downloaded yet.
We had two ball games this past week - Only three more to go! :0( I have really enjoyed watching my boys play. Thomas has really made HUGE improvements. I think he is ready for Rookie ball this fall... We shall see!
I have had really busy work week. We got dumped on again. I have been working overtime, as a matter of fact, I am taking a break from work right now and updating my blog using my laptop from work (bad, bad, bad - I know). All the OT will pay off in comp time though. I will be taking a week off in June and not have to use any vacation! :)
I enjoyed Muffins for Mom with Thomas last Thursday morning before school. He proudly presented me with white carnation. He also wrote me a letter and made me a picture of a flower, with his picture in the center of the flower. It was adorned with little butterflies made from his thumb print. Here is what his letter read:
Dear Mom,You are the very best Mom I could ever have. (this part killed me...) I don't say it every day but I love you very much (sob - he sounds so grown already).
Happy Mother's Day.
Love Thomas
I will keep this forever that is for sure~Friday morning I had Brunch @ Montessori School with Tyler and Tanner. They were sooo excited. I think they more excited about eating doughnuts than eating with me! We had a really good time. All the children decorated little flower pots and planted a flower in them for their mothers. We found Tanner's pot right away. We searched and searched for Tyler's pot and could not find it. Turns out it appears that another mother took my pot home instead of their own child's pot. Tyler was crushed. I hope the process of elimination will follow suit and lead us to the pot he made for me, at least for his sake..
Mother's Day was nice. I got to sleep until 10:00. How nice was that???The boys gave me a card and when I was opening the card Thomas busted Daddy! He said "Dad, we didn't pick this card out! You didn't take us! You didn't even let me sign the card!" I busted out laughing.. too funny. A few minutes later the boys led me to the garage for my gift. It was a brand new bike! I was excited. Now I can ride bikes with my boys...What a neat gift!
I have to run for now...I hope to post soon....

Busy busy week

Well our family had a pretty busy week. We participated in two ball games, helped Nana get ready for her yard sale, and just the everyday duties of running a house hold.
The weather has been really nice. I LOVE the spring.summer months~ We are ready to go camping - I have a feeling we will taking a short week-end trip soon. A family whom we play ball with went to a local campground for the week-end just to get away. They have asked us to join them one week-end. I think that would a lot of fun.
Tanner is healing nicely and the bruising is pretty much gone. Thomas & Tyler are doing great. No major injuries so far this week.
We planted some new flowers in our flower beds yesterday. It felt good to get my hands in the dirt. I re-potted some plants and placed them on our screened in porch. It looks pretty now :0). We just need some nice patio furniture now. Frank mowed the lawn -TWICE. He loves to cut grass. The first time it was so wet, it made the yard look messy, so he felt he must mow again.
I am going to try my best to give weight watchers another shot. I have to loose some weight fast. My best friend Kim is getting back with the program herself this week so I will have some motivation... I have already taken over 4000 steps today (tread mill 1/2 hour) so I am off to a good start!

Well until next time....
